Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload goods using appropriate lifting techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Verify delivery orders and ensure accurate documentation for each shipment
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse area, including organizing stock and managing inventory
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with legal requirements
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as stock replenishment, order picking, packing, and storage management
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver or equivalent certification preferred
- Experience operating large or heavy vehicles in a commercial setting
- Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, including familiarity with stock handling and heavy lifting
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures related to driving and warehouse operations
