Mechanical Fitter – Pharmaceutical Shutdown (Kinsale, Co. Cork)

About the Role
Ward Personnel are recruiting experienced Mechanical Fitters for a planned shutdown at a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing site near Kinsale, Co. Cork. This is a high-tempo shutdown project offering significant hours and excellent earning potential for the right candidates.
With an hourly rate of €29.62 and extended working hours (including weekends) throughout the shutdown period, successful candidates can realistically expect gross earnings in excess of €2,000 per week + Lodge
What You'll Be Doing
- Mechanical installation, removal, and reinstatement of plant and process equipment
- Stripping down, inspecting, repairing, and rebuilding pumps, valves, heat exchangers, agitators, and associated process equipment
- Pipework breaking, flange management, and reinstatement to pharmaceutical standards
- Liaising with site engineers, supervisors, and other trades to keep the shutdown on schedule
What We're Looking For
- Time-served Mechanical Fitter (recognised apprenticeship / trade qualification)
- Previous shutdown or turnaround experience, ideally in pharmaceutical, chemical, or other regulated process industries
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, static equipment, and process pipework
- Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends, for the duration of the shutdown
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and documentation
- Own tools and transport desirable
