We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Polisher to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for refining and finishing metal or other material components to achieve a polished, high-quality surface. Your work will ensure our products meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and aesthetic appeal, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and product excellence.
INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Polish components, castings and tubework to the required specification and finish.
- Operate polishing lathes and associated polishing equipment safely and effectively.
- Prepare surfaces for polishing and select the appropriate polishing techniques, compounds and materials.
- Carefully inspect finished items for blemishes, scratches, marks, imperfections and other defects.
- Ensure that orders are processed to meet customer expectations
- Quality checking tube and fitments prior to assembly
- Producing consistently high quality workmanship throughout manufacturing processes
- Reporting to management any quality issues through the production process
- Awareness of other production practises through to product completion to understand company and client quality expectations
FACTORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To assist with the factory operations when available or as requested (Training will be given as required)
- Working to agreed and standardised practices and processes
- Keeping work area and factory clean and tidy at all times
- Working to agreed Health and Safety guidelines
- Supportive of colleagues
- Flexible to assist and support other members of the team
- Self-motivated.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Previous experience in polishing, metal finishing, manufacturing or a similar environment is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and a good eye for identifying blemishes and imperfections.
- Knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job to include,methods of manufacture, understanding of materials & tools used in production of high quality parts
- Understanding of need to adhere to safe working practises
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced production environment.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
