Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader Nights to oversee and coordinate care services during evening shifts. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience in supervising care environments, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support to residents. This role involves managing care staff, ensuring compliance with care plans, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all residents. Duties
- Supervise and support care staff during night shifts, ensuring high standards of resident care are maintained.
- Oversee the implementation of individualised care plans, ensuring all needs are met effectively and compassionately.
- Coordinate with day staff to ensure seamless handovers and continuity of care.
- Monitor resident safety, respond promptly to emergencies, and document incidents accurately.
- Lead by example in promoting a respectful, caring environment that prioritises dignity and independence for residents.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as rostering, record keeping, and reporting as required.
- Foster effective communication within the team and with external healthcare professionals.
Skills
- Proven supervising or leadership experience within a care home or senior care setting.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Experience in developing and managing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Driving skills are desirable for occasional transport duties or home visits.
- Good IT literacy for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes.
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to residential care environments.
- Compassionate approach with excellent organisational abilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergency situations.
