Pay Rate: £15.31 - £21.55 per hour (dependant on qualifications & experience etc)

We are recruiting enthusiastic and experienced HLTAs to work in a variety of welcoming primary schools across Burnley and the surrounding areas. Whether you’re looking for full-time work or a role that fits around your availability, we have flexible opportunities to suit you.
As a HLTA, you’ll play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning, delivering planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, providing intervention support, and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Job Description:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 when required.
- Support class teachers with the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
- Provide small group and 1:1 interventions to help pupils reach their full potential.
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
- Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times.
Essential Requirements:
- Hold a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification (Level 4 or equivalent).
- Have the Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate for the Child Workforce registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
- Have professional experience working with children within a primary school setting.
- Be confident leading whole-class learning when required.
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Be enthusiastic, reliable, proactive and adaptable.
- Be able to travel reliably to schools across Burnley and the surrounding areas.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
- Experience working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
