Personal Support Worker
Rate: £13/hr
Hours: 7hrs/week term time | 14hrs/week holidays
Role
Support a young adult with learning disabilities to build independence and enjoy community activities.
What you’ll do
- Encourage light life & household skills
- Accompany on outings: parks, leisure, shopping
- Support communication & emotional wellbeing
- Keep consistent, calm routines
What we need
- Experience supporting people with additional needs
- Patient, reliable & able to work 1:1
- Willing to complete background checks
No personal care duties. Full induction provided.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Essential:
- A caring, patient, and respectful approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care
- Reliability, flexibility, and a professional attitude
Desirable:
- Experience in health and social care, outreach, or community support
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
- Knowledge of learning disabilities, mental health, autism, or complex needs
- Training in Positive Behaviour Support, first aid, or de-escalation
Additional Information
- This role may involve lone working and community-based support
- Flexibility in working hours may be required
- All roles are subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS checks

Pay: £12.71-£14.25 per hour
