Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our restaurant team.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced kitchen. You will assist with food preparation, kitchen organisation, cleaning, stock management and daily opening/closing tasks.
We are looking for someone who is responsible, efficient, willing to learn and able to work well under pressure. Previous kitchen experience is preferred, but training can be provided to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily food preparation, including cutting, portioning and preparing ingredients.
- Prepare food according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
- Keep kitchen stations clean, organised and properly stocked.
- Follow food hygiene and food safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
- Check and organise ingredients and stock.
- Inform the manager when ingredients or supplies are running low.
- Support other kitchen team members during busy service periods.
- Follow kitchen procedures, recipes and training instructions carefully.
- Maintain consistent food quality and portion sizes.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willing to learn and follow instructions.
- Good attention to cleanliness and food quality.
- Able to work evenings and weekends when required.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
