Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Duties
- Safely operate flatbed lorries and commercial vehicles to deliver goods to designated destinations.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimise time and fuel consumption.
- Load and unload items, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
- Verify delivery details and obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and delivery times.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing queries professionally and courteously.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during deliveries.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or commercial driving experience.
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles.
- Experience with flatbed lorries and understanding of load securing procedures.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan efficient routes.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers.
