Purpose of the Role
To deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment across classroom-based and commercial training programmes, ensuring learners achieve their qualifications, develop industry-relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours, and progress successfully into further learning or employment. The Tutor will provide high-quality learner support, maintain compliance with awarding organisation and funding requirements, promote safeguarding and wellbeing, and contribute to continuous quality improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, inclusive and high-quality classroom sessions.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Conduct initial assessments and identify additional learning support requirements.
- Monitor learner progress and implement timely interventions to support achievement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records, registers and assessment documentation.
- Carry out formative and summative assessment in line with awarding organisation requirements.
- Deliver and embed English, mathematics, digital skills, British Values, Equality and Diversity and Prevent throughout learning programmes.
- Promote professional standards, workplace behaviours and employability skills.
- Provide high-quality information, advice and guidance to support learner progression.
- Support learners to achieve personal development goals and positive destinations.
- Prepare learners for examinations, assessments and qualifications.
- Participate in quality assurance activities including observations, standardisation meetings and quality reviews.
- Contribute to Self-Assessment Reports (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plans (QIP).
- Maintain effective communication with learners, employers, colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, funding regulations and awarding body requirements.
- Maintain occupational competence and undertake continuing professional development (CPD).
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
- Actively support organisational growth through learner recruitment, engagement and promotional activities where required.

Person Specification
- Teaching and assessing qualification
- Relevant vocational qualification in subject area.
- Experience delivering classroom-based teaching and training.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, Prevent and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Competent IT and digital skills.
- Experience delivering funded adult learning

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
