T&A Precision are a family owned business with 40+ year history of trading. We are Europes largest manufacturer of precision ground BS1407 Silver Steel. Servicing tool makers and precision engineering applications in sectors such as: Formula 1, Automotive and Aviation.
We are looking for an experienced Grinder/ Setter to work Cincinnati and centro masking grinding machines to precise tolerances. You will be required to work independently and be self-motivated. You will need to be a team player who is hard-working, flexible and committed.
Duties include :-
- Machine setting and grinding operating
- Ensuring that components meet the drawing specification and quality standards
- Maintain target levels of productivity
- Daily maintenance of equipment
- Maintain and comply to company health and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work space for safe and efficient use
- Perform the duties as assigned for varying business needs and development
Skills required:-
- Ability to set and operate Cincinatti centreless grinding machines
- Ability to read micrometres
- Ability to work to and maintain strict timescales efficiently
- Experience in basic machine maintenance
- Work independently using initiative
- Working in cohesion with others
Desirable skills:-
- Experience in the use of lifting equipment including slinging experience
- Use of overhead crane
- Forklift certification
Salary negotiable depending on experience and potential. Immediate start is available.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.00 am - 5.00 pm Friday 8.00 am - 12 noon
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
