The Role
This is a varied and rewarding field-based role involving the servicing, maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of commercial fuel infrastructure throughout the UK.
Working independently and as part of a team, you will carry out preventative maintenance, diagnose faults and repair a wide range of mechanical and electronic fuel dispensing equipment. You will also assist with the installation and commissioning of new fuel systems and provide technical support to customers across multiple industry sectors.
The successful candidate will enjoy a varied workload, working on everything from commercial fuel pumps and fuel management systems to tank gauging equipment and complete refuelling installations.
Full product and industry-specific training will be provided where required.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance of commercial fuel dispensing equipment and associated infrastructure.
- Diagnose, fault find and repair mechanical and electronic fuel dispensing systems.
- Service and maintain fuel pumps, dispensers, fuel management systems, tank gauges and tank probes.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new and refurbished fuel storage and dispensing facilities.
- Verify and calibrate commercial fuel dispensers.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance programmes.
- Carry out customer site surveys.
- Maintain accurate service reports and commissioning documentation.
- Manage company vehicle stock and equipment.
- Work safely in accordance with company procedures and industry standards, including confined space working where required.
- Deliver a professional, customer-focused service at all times.
Travel & Call-Out Requirements
As a nationwide field-based role, travel is an integral part of the position. Successful applicants must be willing to work away from home on occasion, with overnight stays required from time to time to support projects across the UK.
Due to the nature of our customers' operations, participation in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota is an essential part of the role. This includes responding to breakdowns and critical faults outside normal working hours to ensure our customers' fuel infrastructure remains operational.
Flexibility and a positive approach to nationwide travel and emergency response are essential.
Essential Skills & Experience

Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on industrial or commercial equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel nationwide, including occasional overnight stays.
- Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience servicing commercial fuel dispensing equipment.
- Experience with fuel management systems and tank gauging equipment.
- Pipefitting experience using steel, stainless steel or fusion-welded plastic pipework.
- Mechanical engineering qualifications.
- Electrical qualifications.
- Confined Space certification.
- Safety Passport.
- CSCS Card.
- Previous field service engineering experience within industrial environments.
