Do you enjoy working with children and want to be part of a friendly, fun and energetic team? We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our After School Club team.
Main duties include:
- Assist with preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
- Providing comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school and delivering them safely to parents or carers.
- Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
- Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health, and safety standards are met.
- Administering first aid when necessary – if qualified to do so, training will be provided.
- Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
- Helping with club administration, where necessary.
- Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, and schools.
- Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
- Keeping the work environment healthy, safe, and secure.
- Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures.
- Be a good role model, including being compassionate, caring and showing respect to everyone on site. This includes respecting and adhering to the rules put in place for the children (e.g., not talking over others).
- Be aware of own role with regards to safeguarding, the children must always be within sight and sound of staff, be proactive in reporting any concerns you may have to the DSL and be professionally curious with a ‘it could happen here’ attitude.
Previous experience in childcare, education and safeguarding is a desirable, but not essential — Training will be provided.
Hours on:
- Afternoons: 2:30pm – 6:00pm

Pay: £13.65-£16.50 per hour
