· Operational Duties:
- Assist with planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality play opportunities within a safe, stimulating, and caring environment.
- Ensure the smooth running of daily operations, including managing routines and transitions.
- Develop relationships with parents, carers, schools, and external agencies when needed.
· Childcare and Playwork:
- Provide comprehensive care for children, including collecting them from classrooms and ensuring they are signed out by appropriate adults.
- Set up and pack away the play space, including moving furniture and play equipment.
- Provide healthy refreshments and ensure hygiene, health, and safety standards are consistently met.
- Administer first aid when necessary and maintain accurate records.
· Engagement and Inclusion:
- Consult with children and involve them in planning activities that reflect their interests and developmental needs.
- Encourage and facilitate parental involvement in the club’s activities and development.
- Promote inclusive play and ensure all children feel valued and supported.
· Administration and Compliance:
- Work within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour management.
· Professional Development:
- Undertake relevant training and continuous professional development.
- Keep up to date with best practices in playwork and childcare.
