Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed and commercial vehicles to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Load and unload items carefully, securing cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify delivery details against orders and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies throughout all deliveries.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with knowledge of flatbed or commercial driving.
- Familiarity with local routes, traffic patterns, and delivery procedures.
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating flatbed or commercial vehicles.
- Experience in handling goods securely during transit, including loading and unloading techniques.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively under pressure.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude at all times.
