Hours: Monday - Friday / 37.5 hour week / Half hour lunch / Alternate shifts each week:
- Earlies 06:00am-14:00pm
- Lates 14:00pm-22:00pm

Key Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Workshop team, coordinating vehicle bookings, servicing, repairs, inspections and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle, equipment and workshop records, including VPRs, service sheets, job cards and Truck Files.
- Monitor MOTs, servicing, inspections and statutory compliance requirements, ensuring deadlines are identified and actioned promptly.
- Support defect reporting and rectification, escalating overdue or potentially non-compliant vehicles and equipment to the Workshop Manager.
- Assist with workshop workload planning, vehicle parts ordering and stock management, from receipt and quality checks through to storage and distribution.
- Liaise with garages, manufacturers, dealerships and specialist contractors to arrange maintenance, obtain quotations and follow up outstanding work.
- Ensure external repair and maintenance documentation, invoices and certificates are accurately recorded and resolved where required.
- Maintain comprehensive vehicle and equipment records, including mileage, maintenance history, defects, tyres, costs, warranties and statutory documentation.
- Ensure records are readily accessible, accurate and maintained in line with Company procedures and audit requirements.
Skills & Experience:
Essential
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative and maintain accurate records.
- Experience in a workshop, fleet, transport or logistics environment.
- Experience liaising with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and databases.
- Good standard of education, particularly in English and Maths.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Truck File, MOT and servicing procedures.
- Experience in an HGV workshop environment.
- Experience in the waste, drainage or environmental services sector.
Pay: £28,000.00 per year
