Job Summary
The Dalton Estate, located around the beautiful village of South Dalton, East Yorkshire. We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accounts Administrator for our busy office.
This role will support essential financial processes, including purchase and sales ledgers, banking, and accounting.
Our new Accounts Administrator will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring smooth transactions within the finance team. This position is diverse and interesting with no two days the same therefore as an adminstrator you will need to be multi skilled and organised.
The ideal candidate will need to be people focused. A good communicator, friendly and be willing to support others.
Duties
- Posting of Sales Invoices
- Posting of Purchase Invoices
- Ensuring that any unallocated items are investigated proficiently and quickly
- Reconcile Supplier Statements
- Recording and Reconciling Monthly Petty Cash
- Reconciling Bank Statements as required
- Processing Bacs Supplier Payments
- Liaising with Utility Companies and Council following property movements
- 2 & 4 Weekly Payroll/ Bacs Processing (subject to change)
- Intercompany Recharges
- Monthly Credit Card Processing
- Other finance tasks as required, client/supplier queries etc.
- General administration as required,
.Skills
- At least 2 years’ experience in an account’s / administrative environment
- Strong data entry skills with excptional attention to detail aand accuracy
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes
- Confident and effective telephone skills when taking calls as required
- Good numeracy skills and a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong communcation skills
- Ability to liaise with colleagues when appropriate
- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to ensure that deadlines are adhered to
- Confident use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook with the ability to pick up new software quickly
Agricultural and rural knowledge is advantageous, but not essential.
A full driving licence, with own transport is essential – due to our rural location

Holiday and Working Hours
- 23 days annual leave pro rata, plus bank holidays (3 days allocated for the Christmas period)
- 37.5 h/pw
- 08.45 to 17.15 Monday to Friday
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £25,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
