English Teacher Jobs in Liverpool – September Starts
Zen Educate is currently recruiting English Teachers for a number of secondary schools across the Liverpool area. We have recently started working with several multi-academy trusts across the city, each with multiple schools, and we are supporting them with their English department recruitment for the new academic year.
We are currently looking for 12 English Teachers across our different partner schools in Liverpool.
To be considered for these English Teacher roles, applicants must either hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
These English Teacher roles are ideal for qualified teachers who are looking for a September start and would like the opportunity to be considered for multiple schools through one application process.
Because Zen Educate is working with a number of trusts across Liverpool, each successful English Teacher applicant may have the opportunity to interview or trial at more than one school. This gives you the chance to meet different English departments, visit different school settings, and find the role that is the best fit for you.
Trials and interviews for these English Teacher positions will be taking place throughout June and July, with successful placements starting in September.
The Role
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English lessons to secondary school pupils. Depending on the school and timetable, you may be teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 English Language and English Literature, supporting students with reading, writing, analysis, communication skills and exam preparation.
The successful English Teacher will be expected to plan and deliver high-quality lessons, support pupils of different abilities, contribute to the wider English department, and help students make strong progress in their learning.
Each school is looking for a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher who can build positive relationships with pupils, maintain high expectations in the classroom, and contribute to a supportive learning environment.

As an English Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Teaching English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Delivering English Language and English Literature lessons

The Ideal English Teacher
