Vehicle Strip Fitter
Location: Rochester, Kent
Shift: Monday-Friday, 06:30-16:30 (47.5 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour
Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing Work
We are seeking experienced Vehicle Strip Fitters to join our client’s well-established bodyshop team in Rochester. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring vehicles are stripped, repaired, and refitted to the highest standards, under the guidance of the bodyshop manager and supervisor.
The Role:
- Strip and refit panels on a range of vehicles.
- Remove parts and panels, ensuring all fixings (e.g., nuts, bolts, screws) are accurately labelled and securely stored for reassembly.
- Carry out repairs to restore vehicles to their original condition following approved methods.
- Assist other departments within the bodyshop as required.
- Support and train bodyshop trainees when needed.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- Must have your own tools.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards.
- Hold a full UK driving licence, with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
