Duties
- Deliver comprehensive patient care, including monitoring vital signs and assessing patient needs
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely in accordance with medical guidelines
- Assist doctors and other healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medication usage, and health management strategies
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies or concerns, providing reassurance and appropriate intervention
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly adhered to in all aspects of care delivery
- Support the organisation in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients and staff
Qualifications
- Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or equivalent regulatory body
- Proven experience in patient care within a clinical or hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Proficiency in medication administration, including understanding potential side effects and contraindications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient support
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Organised with attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols
