About the Role
We are looking for a practical, reliable, and detail-oriented Installation Technician to join our growing team. The role involves assisting with the installation, commissioning, and servicing of water disinfection and water treatment systems at customer sites throughout the UK.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone with good general mechanical aptitude and practical skills. While experience in plumbing or electrical work is beneficial, we are not looking for a fully qualified electrician or plumber. We are seeking a semi-skilled individual who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in doing a job properly, and is willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of water disinfection and treatment systems.
- Carry out basic electrical and plumbing-related installation work.
- Assemble and fit equipment, pipework, and associated components.
- Support system commissioning and testing activities.
- Ensure installations are completed to a high standard and in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Travel to customer sites as required.
- Work closely with senior engineers and project managers.
Requirements
- Good practical skills and a hands-on approach to work.
- Experience in construction, maintenance, mechanical assembly, plumbing, electrical work, or a similar field is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and installation drawings.
- Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Positive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Basic plumbing experience.
- Basic electrical installation experience.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- CSCS card or other relevant site qualifications.
