We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Class One Night Trunker to join our team. This role involves trunking fridge trailers depot to depot during night shifts to transport goods efficiently across set night routes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class One fridge trunk trucks during night hours, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance.
- Secure loads properly on fridge trailers, adhering to safety regulations and company standards.
- Navigate routes efficiently, utilizing GPS and route planning tools to meet delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates or any issues encountered.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure safe operations at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class One driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with fridge trucks or similar equipment.
- Strong knowledge of safe load securing techniques for flatbeds.
- Ability to work overnight shifts consistently and reliably.
- Good physical condition to handle loading/unloading tasks if required.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to safety.
