At Tesla, our Design and Construction Project Management teams deliver iconic facilities—showrooms, service centres, delivery hubs, body shops, and distribution centres—that embody innovation and sustainability.
As a Construction Project Manager in the UK, you will lead projects from concept through to completion, working alongside high-calibre teams to advance Tesla's mission. You will be the primary driver for each project, coordinating cross-functional teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless delivery, adherence to budget and programme, and high-quality outcomes that support Tesla's growth and commitment to sustainable energy.
What You'll Do-
Plan and manage due diligence on prospective sites with the Design Team, including full audits of existing conditions covering HVAC, electrical, drainage, structural fabric, flooring, and health & safety

Review drawings and specifications with relevant parties at key RIBA stages to confirm design feasibility, budget alignment, and programme impact

Prepare, present, and refine CapEx budgets for all projects, and track expenditure throughout the project lifecycle

Coordinate with Procurement to arrange site visits, manage the tender process and tender programme, handle RFIs, and lead page-turn reviews with shortlisted bidders

Ensure all project documentation is collated and maintained, including site directories, CDM/EHS documentation, change control logs, two-week look-ahead programmes, and other project records

Oversee day-to-day project coordination, including regular meetings with stakeholders and the Principal Contractor, and manage payment applications, valuations, and close-out documentation

Ensure all employer-supplied items are ordered in good time and that Facilities Maintenance receive the necessary handover packs and as-built information for post-opening site management

Champion compliance with UK statutory requirements, including CDM 2015, Building Regulations, planning conditions, and relevant British Standards
What You'll Bring-
Degree in the built environment: Architecture, Building Surveying, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management and the like, or equivalent experience with a proven track record.

Strong experience managing complex construction projects, contractors, consultants, and multi-disciplinary teams across the full project lifecycle in the UK.

Demonstrable experience in budgeting, procurement/tendering, change control, and financial reconciliation / final account.

Sound working knowledge of UK construction contracts (e.g. JCT, NEC) and the tendering / contract administration process.

Excellent organisational, written, and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

High energy, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Fluency in English; willingness to travel across the UK (and occasionally further afield) as projects require.
