General Assistant – Engineering Team (City Garage)
£14.94 per hour • Permanent • 38 hours per week (5 days over 7)
We’re looking for a reliable General Assistant to support our busy Engineering Team by keeping our workshop clean, safe and well‑maintained.
What do we do?
Engineering plays a critical part in helping us to provide a safe and reliable bus service for our customers. Our dedicated and highly skilled team of engineers ensure our vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and are regularly checked by DVSA and other regulatory bodies. We are proud to carry out all of our own maintenance and repairs onsite at our main garages across the city.
Workshop cleaning and general upkeep
Follow Health & Safety and company policies
Support Supervisors and Managers with ad‑hoc tasks
Communicate clearly with colleagues
Maintain and develop technical skills
Full UK driving licence
PCV licence desirable (must be willing to obtain one with us)
Good communication skills
Strong team player with good attention to detail
Previous experience helpful but not essential
£14.94 per hour
