Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team in Gorebridge. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the ability to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for play and learning. As a Play Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children's development through play, ensuring they feel valued and included.
Duties
- Manage daily activities and ensure the safety of children during playtime.
- Lead and facilitate various play activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive atmosphere.
- Support children’s individual needs, encouraging their creativity and independence.
- Maintain an organised and clean play environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use..
- Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and respect among all children.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable, although training will be provided.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
- Experience working in a nursery or similar setting is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their developmental needs.
- Must be willing to obtain PVG and first aid training.

Hours are :
2.45 to 5.15pm at North Middleton Village Hall Monday to Friday Term Time. Hours can be extended if candidate has interest in assisting with evening performing arts classes and holiday clubs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £7.55-£15.00 per hour
