Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Head Chef to join our team at El Diablo on Gloucester Road in Bristol. This role is vital in maintaining our high standards of culinary excellence and ensuring our guests enjoy outstanding dishes in a lively setting. This role is in an open plan kitchen so we need somebody who can work in this environment in terms of cleanliness and noise. This role has no early mornings or late nights.
Responsibilities
- Run all aspects of the kitchen working in conjunction with the GM.
- Lead the development of new recipes and menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are exceeded.
- Lead the kitchen team to deliver excellent service.
- Manage stock levels and order supplies as needed including costing dishes and completing stocktakes
- Support junior kitchen staff in their training and development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or management role within a busy restaurant or bar environment.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and team spirit.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Relevant culinary qualifications are preferred.
