Job Overview
Gondal Accountancy is looking to appoint an Accountant, Semi Senior Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our growing accountancy firm in Birmingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and progressive firm. The successful candidate will work with a varied portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, and will be involved in accounts preparation, tax, VAT and bookkeeping work.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and filing year-end accounts for SMEs, limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Preparing and filing Self Assessment tax returns
- Preparing and filing corporation tax returns
- Preparing and filing VAT returns
- Carrying out bookkeeping duties
- Liaising with clients and responding to queries professionally
- Supporting clients with accounting records and compliance matters
- Assisting with general accountancy work as required
Requirements
- Experience working within a UK accountancy firm is essential
- AAT qualified, part-qualified or studying towards ACCA/ACA
- Strong knowledge of accounts preparation, tax and VAT
- Good bookkeeping experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Professional attitude and commitment to high-quality client service
- Desire to develop and progress within the firm
