Overview
We are seeking a professional Class 2 (HGV 2) Driver to join our clients team in Trafford Park The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in commercial driving, with a focus on delivery services. The position involves operating curtain side lorries and ensuring timely deliveries across designated routes, contributing to the smooth operation of our logistics team.
Duties
- Safely operate Class 2 Wagons
- 6 points max
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with legal requirements
- Follow all road safety regulations and company policies during driving and delivery tasks
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with the dispatch team
- Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management for resolution.
Skills
- 2 years Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with flatbed lorries or similar vehicles
- Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence with no restrictions
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving
- Excellent organisational skills
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
