Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Junior Maintenance Engineer to join our team in McColgans. This role is ideal for a newly qualified electrician or experienced electrician who is eager to expand their skills into maintenance engineering and take the next step in their career. You will be supported with on the job training and mentorship as you learn to maintain, troubleshoot and improve our plant and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot faults and work with senior engineers to resolve issues efficiently.
- Help install and test new or repaired machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on equipment status.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Work as part of an existing team following our 12 hours shifts which entails both day and night shift working.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and equipment.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in mechanical and maintenance engineering.
- Good problem solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to health and safety standards.
Desirable
- Experience with PLCs or industrial control systems.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £24,420.00-£39,812.23 per year
