Job title: Full time counsellor/ keyworker Drug & Alcohol Residential
Wage: Salary: £26,325 to 29,250 (£13.50 to 15.00 per hour)
Hours: 5 days per week, hours to be arranged to include: some bank holidays, working 1 late per week, plus some out of hour’s on-call.
Duration: Permanent
Holiday: 6.6 weeks of annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays

Details:
We are looking for a Full time Counsellor/ Keyworker to work in our Southampton based residential unit.
Qualifications and experience:
The ideal candidate will have or be willing to working towards: Counselling skills Level 3/4 or degree in Addictions Counselling.
Duties include:
Care planned counselling, one to one sessions, therapeutic and structured groups, relapse prevention, presenting workshops, 12 step facilitation etc.
Employees must be willing to undergo essential training.
A full Driving Licence and access to a vehicle preferred.
Good people skills and computer literacy is essential.
Responsibilities
· Create risk management and care plans, and review regularly
· Keep all caseloads up to date
· Liaise with other agencies
· Deliver the programme and interventions
- Provide emotional support for individuals and group
- Ensure the environment is homely, clean and safe
- Ensure that people have access to primary healthcare and update care plans

· The ability to communicate clearly and sensitively when talking to people
· Good listening skills
· Great problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt and act accordingly to situations
· The ability to work both alone and as part of a team
· A high level of patience and emotional resilience
