Physical Balance is a well-established and progressive health and wellbeing practice, welcoming over 2000 clients each month across more than 20 different services. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and compassionate Foot Health Care Practitioner to take over an established part-time clinic, following the departure of a valued member of our team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to step into a clinic setting with an existing patient base and a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
As a practice known for delivering exceptional patient-centred care, we've experienced significant growth over the last three years. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Foot Health Care Practitioner to work alongside our Osteopaths, Sports Therapists and other healthcare professionals, providing high-quality foot health treatments to our loyal and growing patient base.
What We're Looking For
- A qualified Foot Health Care Practitioner with a passion for improving patients' mobility, comfort and quality of life.
- 2–3 years' experience (preferred).
- Ability to assess and treat a wide range of routine foot health conditions, including:
- Nail cutting and management of thickened nails
- Corn and callus reduction
- Cracked heels
- In growing toenails (non-surgical)
- Verruca treatment and advice
- Confidence in recognising when referral to a Podiatrist, GP or other healthcare professional is appropriate.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A caring, professional and empathetic approach.
- A passion for working as part of a friendly multidisciplinary team committed to helping people stay active and pain free.
Requirements
- Experience either in a clinical environment or out in the community.
- Recognised Foot Health Practitioner qualification (SMAE, SFC or equivalent recognised training).
- Full professional insurance and DBS check required on joining
- Membership of a relevant professional body (where applicable).
- Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures.
- Ability to maintain accurate patient records.
- A commitment to providing a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for all patients.
Desirable but not essential
- Experience working within a private clinic.
- Experience with specialist Foot Health treatments including:
- Verruca treatments
- Orthotics and insoles
- Specialist fungal nail treatment
- Nail reconstruction
- Nail Bracing
- Nail Fenestration
