Overview
We’re recruiting a team of Ranger Camp Activity Leaders to deliver Marwell Ranger Camps, a first-of-its-kind, exclusive 3‑day Ranger Camp experience at Marwell Zoo for children and young people aged 5–15. You’ll lead fun, structured activities and support children throughout the day, working closely with the camp team and Marwell colleagues during a series of “Marwell Moments”.
What You'll be Doing
- Lead age-appropriate games, missions, challenges and activity sessions
- Create a safe, inclusive, positive environment where children feel confident and involved
- Support behaviour management in line with camp standards
- Supervise transitions, lunch, breaks and outdoor play
- Support sign-in/out processes and day-to-day welfare checks
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety and operational procedures at all times
- Communicate clearly with parents/guardians and the camp leadership team
- Work collaboratively with Marwell staff to deliver an exceptional experience
Most Importantly… The safety and welfare of children is the number one priority in this role.
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children and/or young people (5–15) - our age groups are 5-7’s, 8-11’s and 12-15’s
- Confident leading groups and delivering activities
- Reliable, punctual, calm under pressure and a strong communicator
- DBS check mandatory (we can support processing if you don’t already have one)
- Genuine interest in wildlife/conservation and creating memorable experiences
Desirable Requirements
- First Aid qualification
- Previous camp delivery / coaching / outdoor education experience
- Experience supporting children with additional needs (SEND)

Training Provided
- Marwell Zoo induction
- Ranger Camp training
- Safeguarding and SEND training provided if required
Location: Marwell Zoo (free parking)
Operator: Kidztivity (delivered at Marwell Wildlife)
Pay: From £125 per day
Hours: 9:00am–5:00pm

- 28–30 July 2026
- 4-6 August 2026
- 11–13 August 2026
- 25–27 August 2026
Availability requirement: You must be available for at least 3 of the 4 weeks (ideally all four).
