We are looking for a Mechanical & Structural Engineer who can take ownership of our technical solutions and structural calculations. You aren't just running static formulas; you are shaping structural integrity from the ground up. You will bridge the gap between high-level engineering concepts and practical workshop fabrication, standing as the subject matter expert in a room full of clients, project managers, and fabricators.

Key Responsibilities:
- Structural Analysis Ownership: Perform, review, and validate complex load, stress, and structural calculations for heavy machinery and steel frameworks.
- End-to-End Design: Lead projects from early concept design and FEA stress testing through to high-fidelity 3D modeling and detailed fabrication drawing handoff.
- Technical Collaboration: Work closely with workshop leads, structural fabricators, and quality control specialists to translate engineering schematics into buildable realities.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure every calculation and drawing fully aligns with British Standards, Eurocodes, and relevant industrial safety regulations.
- Stakeholder Support: Present engineering rationales clearly to external clients and project boards, explaining the exact structural and mechanical parameters behind your designs.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 3+ years in mechanical and structural engineering, with a strong background in industrial design and stress analysis.
- Portfolio/Projects: Direct evidence of delivered engineering projects, structural calculations, and high-level 3D CAD models. Show us the challenge, your calculation methodology, and the physical build.
- Tooling: Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD platforms (SolidWorks/Inventor) and FEA analysis packages (ANSYS/SolidWorks Simulation).
- Education & Credentials: Degree (BEng/MEng) or HND in Mechanical or Structural Engineering. Progress toward CEng/IEng status is a strong advantage.
- Mindset: Pragmatic and safety-driven. You understand how to balance exact mathematical rigour with practical workshop constructability.
Pay: £42,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
