Qualified Dental Nurse – Taylored Dental Care
Location: Across Taylored Dental Care – Keighley, Wibsey & Idle
Position: Qualified Dental Nurse
Travel between all 3 practice locations is essential
About the role
We’re looking for a qualified Dental Nurse to join the Taylored Dental Care team and work across our three practices in Keighley, Wibsey and Idle.
Taylored Dental Care is an established independent private dental group with a strong reputation for looking after nervous and anxious patients.
Our ethos is:
Dentistry for those who hate dentists.
That means we’re looking for someone who is not only clinically capable, but also warm, reassuring and genuinely good with people.
This role would suit a Dental Nurse who wants more than simply doing the same thing every day. There will be opportunities to develop additional skills and qualifications, including dental radiography, conscious sedation and implant dentistry, alongside exposure to a broad range of private dentistry.
The role
You’ll work alongside a range of clinicians across our three locations, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities will include:
- Chairside assistance across general and private dentistry
- Supporting clinicians with implant dentistry and oral surgery
- Preparing surgeries and ensuring they are fully equipped for each session
- Maintaining excellent infection prevention and decontamination standards
- Supporting nervous and anxious patients before, during and after treatment
- Maintaining accurate clinical records
- Supporting clinicians with treatment planning and patient journeys
- Taking responsibility for surgery stock and equipment
- Following practice policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Supporting the wider team when required
- Working flexibly across our Keighley, Wibsey and Idle practices
Development opportunities
We want our nurses to continue progressing rather than feel stuck in the same role.
For the right person, there will be opportunities to develop additional skills and qualifications, including:
- Dental radiography
- Conscious sedation nursing
- Implant dentistry
- Oral surgery
- Digital dentistry
- Patient care and treatment coordination
- Further post-registration qualifications
We’re particularly interested in someone who is keen to learn, take on more responsibility and build a long-term career with the practice.
What we’re looking for
You will need to be:
- A qualified Dental Nurse
- GDC registered
- Friendly, calm and reassuring with patients
- Confident working as part of a busy clinical team
- Organised and reliable
- Proactive and willing to help
- Committed to high standards of patient care
- Keen to develop additional skills
- Comfortable working with different clinicians and adapting to different practice environments
- Able and willing to travel between Keighley, Wibsey and Idle
Travel between practices
Travelling between all three Taylored Dental Care locations is an essential part of this role.
You may be based at different practices on different days depending on clinical requirements, so you must be comfortable working across:
Having reliable transport would therefore be important.
Why join Taylored Dental Care?
You’ll be joining an independent dental group where nurses are an important part of the clinical team and are encouraged to develop.
We can offer:
- Opportunities to gain further qualifications
- Sedation, radiography and implant dentistry development opportunities
- Indemnity and GDC membership paid
- Free day off for your birthday
- Additional annual leave reward for time of service
- A fun, friendly team who work together and care about each other
- Regular team days and nights out paid
- A supportive clinical and management team
- Variety from working across three different practices
- A strong focus on patient experience
- Genuine opportunities to progress within the group
Most importantly, we want someone who shares our approach to patient care and understands what “Dentistry for those who hate dentists” means in practice.
