Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Teacher to join our team predominately teaching on Monday's for 3 hours, with opportunity to cover classes on Wednesday and Saturdays Ad Hoc . The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging dance lessons to children and adults of various ages and skill levels, fostering a love for movement and self-expression. This role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire young and old learners through creative instruction while supporting their physical development and confidence. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a background in dance who are committed to nurturing a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate dance lessons that promote creativity, coordination, and physical fitness.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and special educational needs.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring all students feel valued and supported.
- Incorporate music, props, and visual aids to enhance lesson engagement.
- Include styles such as Musical Theatre, Jazz and Contemporary
Skills
- Experience working with children across various age groups
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques to foster discipline and positive classroom dynamics.
- Experience teaching dance classes, with an emphasis on creative movement.
