Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Time Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to residents during overnight hours. Duties
- Monitor residents’ safety and well-being throughout the night, responding promptly to any emergencies or needs.
- Conduct regular checks on residents, ensuring their comfort, hygiene, and safety are maintained according to care plans.
- Assist with nighttime routines such as toileting, repositioning, or providing companionship to residents as needed.
- Record detailed notes on residents’ conditions, incidents, or changes in health using IT systems and care documentation tools.
- Support residents with mobility issues by safely assisting them with movement around the facility or within their rooms.
- Maintain a secure environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including fire safety procedures and security checks.
- Communicate effectively with team members during shift handovers to ensure continuity of care and relay important information about residents’ needs.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills in English to interact clearly with residents, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
- Basic IT skills for recording observations, updating care plans, and completing documentation accurately.
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions ensures personalized resident support.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond swiftly to emergencies during night hours.
