We are excited to announce that we are now looking to recruit a Pastoral Tutor to join our supportive and passionate Pastoral team. This is a full-time, maternity cover position, reporting to the Programme Achievement Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people by guiding and supporting them through their academic journey.
Please note this role is 38 weeks term-time only.

Deliver weekly tutorial sessions covering personal development, wellbeing, safeguarding, and academic progress.
- Support and mentor students to help them achieve their full potential.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, behaviour, and progress, providing support where needed.
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with students to review their progress, goals, and wellbeing.
- Act as a key point of contact for students, offering guidance and support throughout their time at college.
- Work closely with parents, teachers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure students receive the help they need.
- Promote safeguarding and support students in accessing appropriate services and resources.
- Maintain accurate student records and use college systems to track progress and interventions.
- Support students with progression, careers advice, UCAS applications, and next steps.
- Contribute to enrolment, induction, open events, and other college activities as required.

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities
- Confidence presenting to groups and delivering tutorial content
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and student tracking systems
- A collaborative and flexible approach to working with staff and external partners
- A clear understanding of student support and progression routes
