Job Title: Team Leader
Hourly Rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours per Week: 15 hours
Work Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm (varied)
Days of Work: Monday to Friday (may include evenings/weekends)
Location: 36 Spencer Road, BD7 2EU
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to oversee the delivery of high-quality care and lead a team of Support Workers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, support, and motivate a team to deliver person-centred care.
Develop and oversee care plans in line with CQC standards and the Care Act 2014.
Ensure staff compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, and organisational policies.
Identify training needs and promote staff development.
Maintain accurate records and liaise with external professionals.
Essential Requirements:
Proven leadership experience in health and social care.
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
Knowledge of the Care Act 2014, safeguarding, and CQC standards.
IT proficiency for communication and record-keeping.
Flexible to work unsociable hours.
Desirable:
UK driving licence.
Bilingual (Urdu/Punjabi).

Experience Minimum of 2 years' experience working in health and social care, supporting adults or young adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, or complex needs. Experience leading, supervising, mentoring, or coordinating a team within a care setting. Experience developing, reviewing, and implementing person-centred support plans. Experience completing risk assessments, incident reports, daily records, and safeguarding documentation. Experience supporting people to develop independent living skills and participate in community activities. Experience working with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies. Understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards and best practice in social care. Qualifications Good general level of education with strong literacy and numeracy skills. NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent). Training Willingness to undertake all mandatory and role-specific training required by Khidmat Centre. Knowledge Excellent understanding of the needs of young adults with learning disabilities. Knowledge of person-centred planning and support. Understanding of the social model of disability. Knowledge of safeguarding legislation, including the Care Act 2014. Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)/Liberty Protection Safeguards (where applicable). Knowledge of equality, diversity, inclusion, and human rights. Understanding of health and safety responsibilities within social care. Knowledge of confidentiality, GDPR, and professional boundaries. Ability to promote independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion. Personal Circumstances Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and participate in an on-call rota if required. Able to work in service users' homes, community settings, and other agreed locations. Enhanced DBS check suitable for working with vulnerable adults. Right to work in the UK. Desirable Criteria
Experience Experience as a Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, or Deputy Manager. Experience preparing for or participating in CQC inspections. Experience supporting staff through coaching, mentoring, and induction. Experience managing staff rotas and allocating workloads. Experience with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). Qualifications Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards). Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) qualification. Autism-specific qualification or training.
