Parkland Services is a well-established and growing automotive business specialising in the preparation, servicing and repair of a wide range of quality used cars and vans. Due to continued expansion, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop team.

The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, repairs and vehicle inspections to a high standard across a wide variety of makes and models.
Your duties will include:
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs efficiently and accurately.
- Completing vehicle health checks and identifying any additional work required.
- Carrying out timing belt, clutch, suspension, brake and engine repairs where required.
- Performing pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure vehicles meet our preparation standards.
- Testing vehicles following repairs, including road testing where appropriate.
- Estimating repair times and advising on parts required.
- Maintaining accurate service and repair records.
- Working closely with the workshop team to ensure jobs are completed on time.
- Assisting with stock vehicle preparation to ensure vehicles are retail ready.
- Carrying out MOT tests (advantageous but not essential).
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with manufacturer and company standards.
- Keeping the workshop clean, organised and compliant with health and safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Ideally you'll have:
- Previous mechanical experience within the automotive industry.
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (preferred but not essential for apprentices).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience using vehicle diagnostic equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
