EM Tuition is seeking experienced tutors to provide personalised 1:1 tuition and learning support for EYFS and primary-age children with SEND inBury St Edmunds.
Face-to-face sessions take place during school hours. You can choose the weekday daytime availability and tutoring opportunities that suit your schedule.

Through consistent, personalised support, you will help learners reconnect with education, celebrate progress, build resilience and achieve positive outcomes.
What you’ll do:
As an EM Tuition tutor, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging and personalised face-to-face sessions tailored to each learner’s needs, abilities and interests.
- Adapt tuition to support each learner’s academic and developmental progress.
- Help learners rebuild their confidence and engagement with education.
- Use patient, positive strategies to support behaviour and emotional regulation.
The children we support may have autism, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, or other SEND. They may also display behaviours that challenge or have experienced gaps and disruption in their education.
About you:
We are seeking tutors who are:
- Experienced in supporting children with SEND.
- Confident delivering core curriculum subjects, particularly Maths and English.
- Skilled at building positive relationships with children and young people.
- Patient, resilient and creative in their teaching approach.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Able to motivate and re-engage learners who experienced barriers to education.

This role requires an Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the DBS Update Service. If you do not already have one, we will assist you with the application. The initial cost is payable by the applicant and will be reimbursed after an initial period of delivering tuition with EM Tuition.
