The Role
This isn't a job about simply buying land. We want someone who thinks like an investor, someone who notices the opportunities other people walk straight past, prices risk sensibly, negotiates well, and genuinely enjoys building long term value rather than just closing deals.
You'll have real freedom to source across land and property of all kinds: industrial estates, warehouses, offices, retail, brownfield sites, agricultural land, farmyards, redundant buildings, residential portfolios, mixed use and development sites. Basically, anywhere value can be created through planning, refurbishment, redevelopment, change of use or a smarter approach to the asset.
What You'll Do
- Build a steady pipeline of acquisition opportunities, both on and off market
- Get to know landowners, agents, surveyors, planners and professional advisers, and build relationships that last
- Lead on commercial and planning assessments, and coordinate due diligence with our external advisers
- Negotiate acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures
- Prepare investment cases and present them directly to the Managing Director, covering risk, return and exit thinking
- Help shape our long term acquisition strategy, including which geographies and asset types we focus on
What We're Looking For
- A track record in land, property, development, investment, agency or commercial real estate
- Strong commercial judgement, so you can size up a deal quickly and back your instincts with solid numbers
- Real negotiation skill, and a genuine love of finding deals other people miss
- Someone who's comfortable with autonomy and likes building something new, rather than stepping into an existing pipeline
