Job Title: PAT tester
Location: Bristol, South West, and a handful of nearby sites all within 2 hours of Bristol as well over the year (Cardiff, Swindon etc).
Pay: (£11.54 ph equal to £1200 per month minimum) equates to £14,401.92 per year for 24 hours per week.
Approx £24,000 per annum pro rata
- opportunities to earn more as well with additional days often available during busy periods (especially summer holidays with schools to test).
Hours of Work: 24 hours per week split over three 8 hour days. including occasional Saturday's where required + out-of-hours work (Also plenty of options to take on extra days during the week when available). 3 days a week can be different each week if possible, or same three days each time.
23 days holiday pro rata + 8 bank holidays (equates to 17 days Holiday + BH's)

We are hiring for a PAT tester that has a good understanding of testing and can work on Commercial and industrial properties, as well as Domestic properties. A fuel card will be provided, and we will look to provide a Company Van very soon as well if all goes well after initial standard 3 month probation period. Testing Equipment and tools provided. Candidate must be able to drive and must (possible that if similar experience exists then we can look at arranging qualification once joining).
We are seeking a friendly, qualified and experienced individual to join our team as a Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) tester. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting safety tests on portable electrical appliances, including visual inspections and the use of specialized equipment to check for potential hazards.
The ideal candidate will have completed the necessary training and certification in PAT testing and have previous experience conducting appliance safety tests. Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential for this role as direct liaison with the client is required during each job onsite.

Skills and experience of an electrician:
As a Pat tester with us, you need to have the following:
- 2377 City and Guilds qualification
- Full UK driver’s license
- Great customer services skills for when you are on site
- Be able to pass a DBS check
- Living anywhere in or around the Bristol
Additionally, if keen, we may from time to time undertake some emergency lighting testing which can be explained and learnt once on board too.
Customer skills are very important to us, and we pride ourselves on being polite and friendly at work so hope to find someone that shares these ethos with us. English speaking is therefore required for this role.
