Overview
We are looking to enhance the level of horticultural skills within our award winning Landscaping team.
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Horticulturist to join us. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for plants and the environment, with expertise in various horticultural practices. This role involves managing and maintaining gardens, landscapes, and green spaces to ensure they flourish and remain aesthetically pleasing. The Horticulturist will work closely with other team members to implement effective growing strategies and landscape maintenance techniques.
Duties
Working as part of a team or as an individual depending on the project,
- Manage irrigation systems to provide optimal water supply for plants.
- Conduct regular landscape maintenance, including pruning, weeding, and mulching to promote healthy growth.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various gardening tasks.
- Monitor plant health, identifying pests or diseases and implementing appropriate treatment measures.
- Maintain groundskeeping standards to ensure all outdoor areas are clean, safe, and visually appealing.
- Collaborate with team members on projects related to growing techniques and landscape enhancements.
- Keep accurate records of plant care activities, including watering schedules and fertilisation plans.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in horticulture or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plant species, irrigation methods, and landscape maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to gardening tasks.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required.
- A relevant qualification in horticulture or landscaping is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £100.00-£150.00 per day
