Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in landscape maintenance and/or groundskeeping, demonstrating proficiency with both hand and power tools. As part of our team, you will be expected to get stuck in to deliver the service we provide.
Whilst we would appreciate a fully trained and qualified individual we will consider other applicants especially where there is a willingness to work and get stuck in with the tasks at hand. Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing and trimming.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to maintain gardens and outdoor areas.
- Dig and prepare soil for planting, ensuring optimal conditions for growth.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tools and equipment used in groundskeeping.
- Collaborate with team members to execute daily tasks efficiently.
- Marking of sports pitches throughout the seasons.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to operate various tools and equipment safely.
- Desirable qualification with PA1 and PA6.
- Desirable certificate in using a brush cutter.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail to ensure high standards of work are maintained.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS will be required before any commencement of employment.
