Job Title: Quality Checker/Stock Handler (Full-Time, Permanent)
Location: Blackpool, Clifton Road.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45am – 4:00pm
Salary: starting at £13.25ph (+21y/o); then review after 3 months + annual pay review.
The Affordable Group manufactures windows & doors and has been established for over 30 years and supplies the building trade throughout the UK. We have doubled our turnover over the last 5 years and now employ nearly 400 staff in Blackpool and Poulton-Le-Fylde.
The Affordable Group is a “John Lewis “ type of business where employees [ with 12 months of service ] receive a share in the profits. The profit share for 2024 + 2025 after deductions for every employee was £2000 paid in December.
We believe in promotion from within and almost all senior management started as junior employees.
We are currently looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quality Checker/Stock Handler. This is a full-time, permanent position offering hands-on work in a busy, productive environment.
FULL TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
Key Responsibilities:
- Manually check 6m aluminium bars for coating quality and general condition
- Handle and carry aluminium bars throughout the checking process.
- Follow multiple daily steps and processes with consistency and care
- Perform basic stock storage and organisation tasks
- Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy

- No prior experience necessary – full training will be provided

Starting Pay:
- Age 21 and over (National Living Wage): £13.25 per hour
- Age 18 to 20: £11.00 per hour
- Age 16 to 17: £9.00 per hour
