Wakefield Trinity RLFC is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and professional Events & Hospitality Host to join our growing Hospitality & Events team.
This varied role offers the opportunity to work across our vibrant Clubhouse Café & Bistro, matchday hospitality, and a wide range of private and corporate events held at the DIY Kitchens Stadium. No two days are the same, making this the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
As the face of our hospitality operation, you'll play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our guests by delivering exceptional service with professionalism, warmth and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of exceptional hospitality on Wakefield Trinity matchdays.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, including room layouts, table settings and event preparation.
- Welcome guests and provide a friendly, professional service throughout their visit.
- Serve food and beverages in line with food safety and licensing regulations.
- Ensure hospitality areas remain clean, organised and fully stocked during service.
- Work closely with colleagues across hospitality, catering and events to ensure every event runs smoothly.
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
- Provide support across the Clubhouse Café & Bistro as required.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering great customer service and enjoys working as part of a team.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in hospitality, catering, restaurants, cafés or customer service.
- A friendly, approachable and professional manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards.
- A flexible approach to working evenings, weekends and matchdays.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (training can be provided).
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to support colleagues wherever needed.
Previous experience in hotels, events or hospitality venues would be an advantage but is not essential.
