We're looking for an experienced Café Cook to join our friendly, independent village café in the heart of Navenby.
The Old Filling Station has built a fantastic reputation for great breakfasts, quality lunches and friendly service. We're proud to be a valued part of the local community and are looking for someone who shares our passion for producing consistently great food.
The Role
You'll be responsible for preparing and cooking our existing breakfast and lunch menu, ensuring every dish leaves the kitchen to the high standard our customers know and love.
This isn't a fine dining kitchen or somewhere where you'll be expected to constantly invent new dishes. We're looking for someone who enjoys cooking fresh, honest food well, every time.
Our menu includes:
- All-day breakfasts
- Omelettes
- Eggs Benedict
- Burgers
- Ciabattas
- Loaded jacket potatoes & fries
- Pancakes
- Children's meals
If you enjoy creating occasional specials to help reduce waste, that's a bonus—but it's certainly not essential.
What we're looking for
You'll ideally have experience working in a café, pub or restaurant kitchen and be someone who:
- Enjoys cooking fresh food and takes pride in every plate.
- Can stay calm and organised during busy breakfast and lunch services.
- Works well as part of a small, supportive team.
- Has excellent food hygiene and kitchen organisation skills.
- Is reliable, honest and takes ownership of their work.
- Wants to become an important part of a well-loved local business.
