Tower Cranes UK (TCUK) is one of the UK's leading tower crane hire, sales and maintenance companies. We pride ourselves on delivering safe, reliable and professional services to construction projects across the UK. We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Yard Labourer to join our depot.
The Role
Working as part of our yard team, you will assist with the preparation, maintenance and organisation of tower crane equipment to ensure it is ready for delivery to site. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment and is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of tower crane components.
- Cleaning, inspecting and preparing crane sections and components.
- General yard housekeeping and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Supporting engineers and fitters with maintenance and repair work.
- Organising equipment and materials within the yard.
- Assisting with stock control and identifying damaged equipment.
- Using hand and power tools safely.
- Following all company health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Carrying out other yard duties as required.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Be reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
- Be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Have good communication skills.
- Work well as part of a team and independently when required.
- Hold a full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
- Have previous experience in a construction, plant hire, engineering or industrial environment (desirable but not essential).
