What our Trade Counter Assistant/Warehouse Operative does:
· Our Trade Counter Assistant is hands on, leads by example and works closely with all of our other team members for day to day operations, providing support and assistance to colleagues as required.
· Ensure excellence in Customer Service and Support, also our operational standards to achieve an “on time and in full service” to support new and existing customers.
· Maintains high standards of organisation – including Warehouse and stock management, front of house cleanliness and point of sale.
· Picking and loading products to customers.
· Taking deliveries and co-ordinating products to be collected by customers and installers.
· Unloading goods, receiving goods and checking against orders.
· Receiving stock for return or deliveries and verifying contents against Supplier despatch
notes.
· Identifying damaged and missing stock items/deliveries and reporting them immediately.
· Stock management e.g. Silicon’s and trims etc.
· Compliance with Health & Safety, company policies and procedures.
· Organise waste removal collections of skips etc.
· Ability to work on feet and carry bulky items.
What we need from our Trade Counter Assistant/Warehouse Operative:
· Passion and energy to deliver exceptional customer service and to achieve business targets.
· A hands-on customer focused approach, confident and happy to serve customers and
to proactively engage with all customers.
· Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and use own initiative.
· Confident IT user, training will be given on industry specific software.
· A full and valid driving licence would be preferred.
· Comfortable to work in a small team and on occasion alone.
· Experience within a similar role, ideally in a trade/builder’s merchant/retail, glazing or
uPVC environment would be a distinct advantage.
· Taking and processing customer orders, liaising with customers regarding delivery dates
and keeping them informed.
· Providing customer estimates and then following up.
