Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Waitress/Bar Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a lively restaurant and bar environment, ensuring customers enjoy a memorable dining experience. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them comfortably, providing attentive and courteous service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, ensuring timely delivery to tables or bar areas
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Assist with food safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of ingredients and utensils
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness in dining and bar areas
- Handle guest enquiries professionally, resolving any issues promptly to ensure a positive experience
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Manage cash transactions accurately using the cash register or POS system
- Maintain a clean, organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Cocktail making experience required.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and bills accurately
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holiday periods as required
- Experience in serving or kitchen environments is desirable but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential
