Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a diverse range of activities tailored to residents’ interests, abilities, and care needs, including those with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
- Lead group activities such as arts and crafts, music sessions, games, exercise classes, and outings that encourage participation and socialization.
- Assess individual resident preferences and capabilities to personalize activity plans effectively.
- Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities align with residents’ care plans and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of activities conducted, resident participation, and feedback to monitor engagement levels.
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that promotes independence and joy among residents.
- Communicate regularly with families and team members to update on residents’ participation and well-being related to activities.
